30 DAY ANTI SITTING CHALLENGE

So you've already learned a little bit in some previous videos and blogs about some of the challenges that extended sitting can create. So in this video I'm not really going to show you anything, I'm just going to challenge you.

I'm going to challenge you for the next 30 days, try to not sit in any one spot for more than 45 minutes at a time. It's as simple as that.

If you are in a job where you're sitting for eight, ten hours a day, whatever it is, set a timer on your iPhone or a timer somewhere and you just have to get up. You don't have to get up for ten minutes. Get up for two minutes. Get up. Walk around your desk a couple of times and move.

If you're going on a long trip, let's say you're driving for 12 hours( or even less) -- you're going to Denver or Colorado Springs or somewhere else in the country -- every 45 minutes pull off the off-ramp. Get out of your car. Walk around it twice and then get back into your car to go.

It will not create an extended delay in you getting to the place. It might delay you a minute or two each stop that you have but that's a lot better on your back than just sitting there in one spot for hours and hours and hours on end.

I know that that can be frustrating for people initially but it helps get your body out of that extended posture that can really put a significant impact on your health, immunity, and your entire body in terms of how you age and how you maintain your health.
